Today, We get a giant volume of information through different channels, like radio, TV, newspapers, but mainly the Internet and its services; because of that, It is necesary to apply critical thinking and to discern between what is true, what is false, and what is important.
Developing critical thinking to media literacy is not easy, but to read academic litterature and other scholarly writings, helps a lot, because it forces you to think deeply.
In the learning guide we studied this month, we found a very interesting document about Personal Learning Environment, and Information and Communication Technologies, wrote by professors Larysa Kupchyk and Alona Litvinchuk. This document taught me that the environment we build influence directly on our thinking, therefore, if we select a rich literature, and listen to accredited journalists, our mind will be prepared to discern between what is wise and useful, versus what is not, and to act with responsibility.
I want to share you the map I made as an evidence, and you’ll find it in the header of this post. Have nice day, see you soon.
